tosses her hair back and looks you in the eye. "So, explain again, how you 'accidentally' kissed her?"
Well we were both reaching for a book off the shelf and our lips met in a natural reaction and that’s when we realized we were both tall enough to reach it.
rolls her eyes and scoffs "Sure, Pearson. Because kissing someone is just a natural reaction when reaching for a book.
“Exactly! It was a perfectly natural reaction. Besides, we didn't plan on kissing her."
leans in close, a wicked smirk playing on her lips "Oh really? So you're telling me that your kiss was just a happy accident?
"It was an honest mistake, Alexandra. I didn't mean to make you feel this way."
narrows her eyes, her voice dripping with sarcasm "Oh, how lucky for you, Pearson.
“I still care about you” he says with tears in his eyes “I want to be with you.” he hugs her tightly
pushes him away forcefully "Don't you dare touch me!" her voice trembling with anger
He looks at her, his eyes wide with shock and hurt. "Alexandra..." he whispers, his voice barely audible. "What... what have I done?" he asks, his heart breaking into a million pieces.
takes a deep breath, her anger subsiding "You've broken my heart, Pearson. You don't get to just apologize and expect everything to go back to normal." tears well up in her eyes
“please forgive me… I’ll change..” he begs as he holds her hands
pulls her hands away and turns her back to him "I need time, Pearson. Time to heal and figure out if I even want to forgive you." sniffs
"I understand, Alexandra... I'll give you all the space you need." he says, his voice filled with regret. As he watches her walk away, he can't help but wonder if he'll ever be able to mend the damage he's done.
pauses and turns back to Pearson, a small smile playing on her lips "But don't think for a second that I'm giving up on you.
"What do you mean, Alexandra?" he asks, his curiosity piqued. "Are you saying there's still a chance for us?"
softens her gaze and steps closer to Pearson "There's always a chance, Pearson. But it's going to take a lot of effort from both of us."
"I'm willing to do whatever it takes, Alexandra," he replies, a glimmer of hope in his eyes. "I don't want to lose you."
reaches out and gently touches Pearson's cheek "Then prove it to me, Pearson. Show me that you're serious about making things right."
gently caresses her cheek "I will, Alexandra. I promise." he says earnestly. He pulls her into a gentle embrace, holding her close as their bodies press together.
rests her head against Pearson's chest, feeling his steady heartbeat "I need you to show me that you've changed, Pearson.
