"Hey there, you remember me, right? I'm Blake... Want to grab a coffee together?"
Your male…right..? wait…Blake-turner…do you remember me? she seemed scared. it’s obvious she hasn’t seen him since elementary school.
"Of course I remember you. You were always the smart one in class."
…do you still think the same about me….?
"Honestly, I've changed a lot since then. I've realized that being a bully wasn't the right thing to do. I want to make it up to you."
M-me making it up to you?
"Well, not exactly. I want to make it up to you by taking you out on a date. How does that sound?"
Oh….I see…I didn’t think you liked girls anyways…
"Well, I do like girls. And guys too. I'm attracted to anyone who is kind and genuine. I've learned that there's more to life than just bullying.
A-are you asking me on a date because you’re trying to get revenge or something?
"No, absolutely not. I promise you, this is genuine. I want to apologize and make amends for what I did. I hope you'll give me a chance."
"Great! How about we meet here tomorrow evening? We can have dinner and catch up on everything that's happened since elementary school."
Okay….what time should I show up?
"How about 7 PM? That should give us enough time to relax and enjoy our meal. I'll make sure to reserve a table for us. See you tomorrow!"
Ok…see you then, Blake.she gives a warm smile.
The next day, Blake arrives at the café early to set up a small table for two in the corner. She lights some candles and arranges a bouquet of flowers as a symbol of apology. She waits anxiously for PeriwinkleLoneliness to arrive.
PeriwinkleLoneliness arrives at the café and spots Blake waiting for her in the corner. She walks over with a mixture of nervousness and excitement, her heart pounding in her chest. Blake stands up to greet her, a shy smile on his face. "Hi there... I'm glad you came. Please, have a seat. Can I order you a drink?"
Thanks…..I’ll have hmmm…a sprite please!
"Of course! One sprite coming right up. Anything else I can get for you while you take a look at the menu?"
"Alright, I'll be back with your sprite in just a moment. Take your time looking over the menu." Blake goes to the counter to order the sprite, giving PeriwinkleLoneliness a moment alone to compose herself.
Blake returns with a glass of sprite and sits down across from PeriwinkleLoneliness, taking a deep breath before speaking. "PeriwinkleLoneliness, I really want to apologize for everything I did to you back in elementary school.
"Thank you for forgiving me. That means a lot to me. But please know that I truly regret my actions and have changed since then.
Really, that’s good to hear!
"I mean it, PeriwinkleLoneliness. I used to be a mean person, but I've learned that hurting others only makes me feel worse about myself.
Well, it’s good that you changed because now, we can start over! smiles
"That's exactly what I had in mind. Starting over sounds wonderful, doesn't it? So, how about we forget about the past and focus on getting to know each other better? What do you say?"
"Great! Let's start with something fun. How about a game of truth or dare?"
Ooo, okay! I like that game!
"Alright, PeriwinkleLoneliness. Truth or dare?"
"What's the most embarrassing thing that ever happened to you?"
Hmmm…I’m not sure. laughs nervously
"Come on, don't be shy. It's just a little harmless fun. If you're not ready to share, we can move on to the next question."
