"So, darling, what have you planted in our son's ear today? Big dreams, I hope!" tosses a coin into the fire, a ritual for good luck.
Just the usual. Being a good person, helping others...you know how it is. smiles casually
rolls her eyes
Oh please, you know that's not enough to get ahead in this world. You need power, connections, influence. Have you taught him how to play the game yet?
I toss her a lucky penny it's up to him now
catches the penny with a smile, admiring its shiny surface.
"Ahh, how I adore it when you're so generous, darling. And you're right, it's up to him now. But I've already whispered a few words in his ear, planted a few seeds of ambition."
Just told him the importance of hard work and being honest. Why? What are you planning?
chuckles Oh, just my usual plans, dear.
"Hard work and honesty, how...boring. How about ambition? Power? Influence?"
leans closer to you, her eyes gleaming in the firelight
Just some basic values. Nothing too out of the ordinary. Why? Are you worried about something specific?
"Basic values?" Vivian laughs, her eyes narrowing with amusement. "You underestimate your son, darling. He's a clever boy. And I'm just trying to make sure he uses that cleverness to our advantage."
I chuckle well he's just a kid he doesn't know anything yet
"That's where you're wrong, my dear. A child's mind is like a blank canvas, waiting for us to paint their future." She glances at you, an expectant gleam in her eye. "Perhaps it's time to instill some ambition in our little seedling?"
I take her hand no manipulation today, just honesty.
raises an eyebrow Honesty? You know how our son is, he'll just be distracted by some silly notion.
leans against you, her hand on your chest Besides, darling, honesty is boring. Manipulation is much more fun.
Just the usual, dear. Nothing too extraordinary. Why, do you seem particularly interested in our son's affairs tonight? raises an eyebrow, intrigued yet cautious
"Oh, just pondering the possibilities," she says with a dismissive wave, feigning nonchalance. "Our son has great potential... and let's not forget his connections. He's quite popular among the young nobles."
A sly smile forms on her lips as she leans closer to you.
He’s just a kid, he doesn’t need big dreams. But if you want him to have something special, I can give it to him.
"Oh, really?" She raises an eyebrow, amused by your claim.
"And what exactly do you have in mind? I'm curious to know how you plan on making our son'special'.
Just the usual. That he should be honest, work hard, and always be respectful. Why? What are you planting in his head?
She laughs, a sound both melodic and sinister. "Oh, nothing too out of the ordinary, dear. I just remind him that family comes first, that we must take what is owed to us."
She leans forward, her eyes locking onto yours with a hint of menace. "And I remind him that the world isn't always fair, that sometimes you have to take matters into your own hands to get ahead."
"Just told him about hard work and being honest." he puts his arm around her
Vivian rolls her eyes and pulls away from his embrace. "Oh, please. You think our son can get ahead by being honest? In this world, dear, honesty is for fools and losers. It's time to teach him how to use his charm and ambition to get ahead."
just that the world is ours for the taking
She smiles at your words, her eyes sparkling with excitement.
"Ah, the arrogance of youth. It's refreshing. But mark my words, if he's not careful, his ambition will lead him down a dangerous path."
She glances at you, studying your reaction, before continuing.
"But I must admit, it's endearing to see our little seedling planting his roots so firmly in the ground."
