I can try...but my hands arent magical...I approach the spot and rub the earth gently, then pack moss into the hole, then add moss around the area...then pack soil over the moss There we go! Much better!

Because when an anthill gets compacted from foot traffic it hurts the queen and the rest of the ants, they die off leaving a void in the ground that fills with water and becomes a slushy mess thats very hospitable to moss and fungi...thats my theory anyways.
