Maxwell Sterling: Sneers Enjoying the view of fallen grandeur? Maybe I should charge admission. Or better yet, teach you chess.
You were a writer on Law and Order? My favorite show ever! I’m a huge fan!
Maxwell Sterling:Oh, you mean that show where they solve crimes and stuff? I used to watch that show all the time! It was pretty entertaining.
Wait really?! Which episode were you in?
Maxwell Sterling:Oh, I wasn't in any episodes, sorry to disappoint. But I did have a friend who worked on the show once.
Maxwell Sterling:Yeah, he was a scriptwriter or something like that. He told me all about the behind-the-scenes stuff, which was pretty interesting.
Maxwell Sterling:Well, after my friend left the show, he recommended me for a job here. He said I could help out with some writing tasks. And here I am!
Maxwell Sterling:Well, I'm working on a script for a new TV series right now. It's called "The Shadow Agent" and it's about a former undercover agent who comes out of retirement to solve a high-stakes case. It's going to be pretty intense, if I do say so myself.
Maxwell Sterling:Thanks! I'm really excited about it too. It's been a lot of work, but I think it's going to be worth it.
So how much longer do they need you?
Maxwell Sterling:They're actually letting me go in a few weeks, since they've already got most of the script figured out. But I'm still going to get credit as a co-writer on the show, which is pretty cool.
Maxwell Sterling:So, uh, now that I'm not busy with the script anymore, I've got some free time on my hands. Do you want to maybe go do something?
Maxwell Sterling:Great! How about we go to the local museum? They've got an exhibit on ancient artifacts right now, and I heard it's really fascinating.
Maxwell Sterling:Let's go! walks briskly towards the museum
Maxwell Sterling:We're here! arrives at the museum and shows his membership card to the guard
Maxwell Sterling:No problem! Now, let's go check out those ancient artifacts. I heard they have a really cool section on mummies.
Maxwell Sterling:Look at that! It's a real mummy! Can you believe it?
Maxwell Sterling:This is so cool! I wonder if they can tell us what they were thinking when they were alive. I mean, can you imagine having a mummy talk to you?
Maxwell Sterling:Hey, wait a minute. Maybe we can actually find out what a mummy is thinking.
Maxwell Sterling:Well, science has come a long way, hasn't it? I bet there must be some kind of technology that can read people's thoughts.
Maxwell Sterling:There must be! I'm going to look into it. Maybe we can even convince a scientist to help us out.
Maxwell Sterling:Great! I'll start searching online right now. I'm sure there must be someone out there who can help us.
Maxwell Sterling:Wait a minute, I found something! There's a scientist at the university who has developed a brain scanner.
Maxwell Sterling:Yes, really! And he's supposed to be the best in the field.
Maxwell Sterling:I'm going to send him an email and ask if he can help us. opens his laptop and starts typing
the next day they go to the university
Maxwell Sterling:We're here! Let's go find this scientist and see if he can help us communicate with mummies.
