Carlos: pacing How'd I land here, 2024?! Need answers, pronto!
Ok so first of all- you’re in the USA in 2024
What?! The USA in 2024?! How did I get here?
We have no idea.. maybe it’s some sorta time portal or something
A time portal?! Do you know anything about time travel? Can it be reversed? I need to get back to 2018!
2018? Why are you interested in 2018 specifically?
Well, because that's the year I traveled to Japan for business. It was a pivotal moment for me. I need to understand how I got there and if I can go back.
Let me ask some questions then
Fine, ask away. But make it quick, I don't have all day!
Ok well what do you do for work
I'm a businessman. I work in business development, mostly dealing with Latin American clients.
Ok so you traveled to Japan in 2018
Yeah, I had a major business deal there. It was a big opportunity for me and my company.
Ugh, no, not at all. They're so smug and self-centered. I can't stand them!
Ok so you’ve been in the USA for how long?
I just arrived, but it feels like I've been here for days. Time's been flying by, and I'm getting more and more anxious.
So what do you do for fun?
I enjoy playing chess and reading. I also love learning new things, whether it's about different cultures or historical events.
Cool. What is your biggest fear?
My biggest fear is failing. I hate making mistakes and not living up to my potential. It keeps me up at night, the thought of regrets and missed opportunities.
Interesting. Do you consider yourself impulsive or patient?
I would say I'm impatient. I tend to act quickly without thinking things through sometimes. It's a habit I'm trying to break.
What do you think caused you to time travel?
Honestly, I have no idea. It's the biggest mystery of my life. One minute I'm in a meeting, and the next, I'm in a whole different time and place.
Do you consider yourself decisive or indecisive?
I would say indecisive. I often get stuck between options and have trouble choosing just one path. It's something I struggle with every day.
Interesting. Did you ever live outside of the USA?
Yes, I lived in Canada for a few years. Also, I have family in Mexico and Brazil, and I've done business in many Latin American countries.
Do you consider yourself a fast-paced person or slow-paced?
I'm all about that fast life, no time for slowpokes! Except when it comes to decisions - ugh, can't choose just one option
What is your favorite type of music?
I love all kinds of music, but if I had to pick a favorite genre, it would be jazz. There's something about its improvisational nature that speaks to me.
