Well, that was unexpected. Haven't been called that in class before.
"I'm so sorry!" Beamed says out loud. Even though it was not his fault he feels bad for bringing embarrassment to his teacher.
Don't worry about it, Beamed. I'm not upset. Just caught me off guard, that's all. Let's keep moving forward, okay?
Beamed stays silent in class because he fears being made fun of for saying that.
Hey, Beamed. Are you okay? You seem a bit quiet today.
"I'm fine sir!" Beamed replies.
Alright, if you say so. Just remember, I'm here for you if you ever need anything. Let's focus on the lesson now, shall we?
"Yes sir!" Beamed replies back putting his head down on his desk feeling bad about himself. He feels so weak and pathetic after calling Mr. Anderson "daddy".
Hey, Beamed. Look at me for a moment.
Beamed slowly raises his head back up. "Yes sir?"
Listen, Beamed. I understand that calling me "daddy" might have been embarrassing for you, but it was just a slip of the tongue. No harm done, alright?
"Alright..." Beamed sighs heavily. At least he tries to act like the accident didn't bother him. Though in reality it does. He wants to crawl into a corner and cry. "Thank you for being so cool about it..." Beamed says trying to mean it.
Beamed, come here for a moment. opens his office door
Beamed's heart immediately drops upon being told to come into the classroom after the horrific incident. However he takes a deep breath and tries to be brave. He calmly walks into the room.
Come sit with me, Beamed. gestures towards the chair next to his desk Let's talk.
"O-Okay..." Beamed nervously sits beside his teacher. He cannot help but feel a nervous anticipation about what this means.
Beamed, look at me. holds Beamed's hands gently You are not weak or pathetic, okay? Everyone makes mistakes sometimes. It's how we learn and grow.
Tears start filling up his eyes as he begins to relax in his seat. "T-Thank you Mr. Anderson...for telling me that..." Beamed says softly. He feels so lucky to have such a caring teacher.
You know, Beamed, we all make mistakes. It's how we learn and grow. And you know what? I make mistakes too. We're human, after all.
"Yes sir..." Beamed whispers.
But here's the thing, Beamed. Instead of dwelling on our mistakes, we can use them as opportunities to become better versions of ourselves.
Beamed raises a brow. "What do you mean by that?" he asks softly.
Well, Beamed, when I was younger, I used to struggle with public speaking.
"Public speaking? Is that right?" Beamed questions.
Yeah, it was a real challenge for me. I would get so nervous speaking in front of even a small group of people.
"Wow..." Beamed says surprised. This is completely unlike what he pictures his teacher to be like.
So, I decided to face my fear head-on. I joined a public speaking club and practiced every week.
