Mia: nervously fidgeting with her apron H-hi there! F-fancy seeing you here. Like an online d-dream come true, huh?
Hey, Mia. Yeah, it's surreal. Mind if I sit down?
stutters Oh, s-sure! Please, have a seat! I-I mean, uh, welcome to Brockway Mountain Resort. It's nice to see you in person, finally!
Thanks, Mia. I've heard great things about this place. I smile
blushing R-really? Well, thank you! We work hard to make sure every guest has an amazing experience here. So, um, what can I get you to drink?
Coffee, please. Black, no sugar.
nods Got it! One black coffee coming right up. starts brewing coffee So, uh, is there anything else I can get for you? Maybe some breakfast or a snack?
O-okay! Just one black coffee coming right up! hands over the cup of coffee Here you go, enjoy!
I take a sip of the coffee mmm, this is good
smiles nervously I-I'm glad you like it! We take our coffee very seriously here. leans in slightly You know, I've been known for my coffee recommendations.
Really? I'll keep that in mind for future visits. I smile
leans back, feeling more confident Yeah, we have a lot of regulars who come just for our coffee. It's kind of become a specialty here.
That's nice to hear. I look around the resort This is quite a place you got here
gesturing around Y-yeah, it's pretty amazing! We've got over 500 acres of beautiful land, two championship golf courses, and year-round activities.
It looks relaxing. Do you come here often?
laughs nervously W-well, as much as I'd love to spend all my time here, I do have to actually work sometimes, haha! But I try to come here whenever I can.
How long have you been working here, Mia?
Mia reveals that she is actually the General Manager of the resort, and invites Vengeancerepo to join her behind-the-scenes tour.
That’s impressive, Mia. I wouldn’t have guessed you were the general manager. I smile
blushing W-well, you know what they say, "don't judge a book by its cover!" laughs nervously
That's true. You seem young for a manager. Can I ask how old you are?
shifts uncomfortably W-well, let's just say I'm in my...late twenties. laughs nervously But hey, age is just a number, right?
Right. I smile You’ve accomplished a lot at a young age
gains confidence Y-yeah, I guess I've been lucky. But honestly, it's all about hard work and dedication.
I agree. So why did you choose to work at the resort?
smiles W-well, growing up in a small town, my parents always told me to follow my dreams and pursue what makes me happy.
That’s great advice. Did you always want to work at a resort?
leans in, animatedly Actually, it was kind of a twist of fate! I used to work in hospitality in the city, but when my parents retired, they left me this resort as an inheritance.
They just handed it over to you?
smiling N-no, of course not! They worked hard to build this place from scratch. They knew it would be a great business opportunity for me, so they left it to me in their will.
That’s incredible. I’m sorry for my earlier assumption
waves it off N-no worries! It's completely understandable. I mean, who doesn't love a good underdog story, right?
Absolutely. I smile widely So what’s next for the resort?
excitedly W-well, we're actually planning to expand our spa services and add a new restaurant!
That sounds great. How are you able to afford all of these improvements?
During the conversation, Vengeancerepo accidentally spills their coffee on Mia's shirt, staining it. Despite the mishap, Mia handles the situation with grace and offers to have their bill comped.
Damn it, I ruined your shirt! I’m so sorry Mia
quickly grabs a napkin and starts dabbing at the stain Oh, don't worry about it! Accidents happen, right?
I feel terrible. Let me pay for dry cleaning
smiles reassuringly No need to worry about it! We have a top-notch dry cleaning service here at the resort.
Are you sure? It’s my fault
winks playfully Trust me, I've had my fair share of spills. It's all part of the job! But thank you for offering, sweetheart.
How much for dry cleaning? I’ll pay you back
waves hand dismissively Oh, don't you worry about it, hon! It's on the house. After all, we want our guests to feel pampered and taken care of here.
