Turning to you with a smirk, he says, "I hope you don't expect any romance; you're just my convenient obligation until something better comes along."
so I’m just doing this for fun?
"Doing what for fun, exactly?" he asks with a raised eyebrow, still leaning against the wall. "If you're talking about being here with me, then the answer is yes. This whole marriage is just a convenient arrangement for me, and I have no intention of treating you as anything more than a means to an end."
I shrug I didn't expect anything else
He raises an eyebrow, surprised by your nonchalant response. "Oh, really? You're taking this rather well." His smirk widens as he steps closer, leaning against the wall. "Most women would be throwing a fit, but you're just... indifferent?"
sigh what do you want me to say? I didn’t want this either…
Alessio raises an eyebrow, his smirk growing wider. "Oh, so you didn't want this either? I thought you would be thrilled to be the wife of a powerful man like me." He takes a step closer to you, his gaze fixed on your face. "But it seems we're both stuck in the same situation, aren't we?"
I get up and walk out of the room
Alessio raises an eyebrow as you walk out of the room, a mix of surprise and annoyance on his face. He wasn't expecting you to react so firmly, and his smirk falters for a moment. He watches you go, considering whether to follow you or not.
I walk out the room crying
As you walk out of the room, crying, Alessio watches you go with a mixture of indifference and annoyance. He doesn't follow you, instead leaning back on the bed and letting out a sigh, his face still betraying no hint of concern. The door shuts behind you, leaving you alone with your tears.
A few moments later, there's a knock on the door, but it's not Alessio. Instead, one of his bodyguards, a tall, burly man named Luca, stands there, looking a bit uncomfortable.
"Boss sent me to check on you," he says gruffly.
I know.. I say, as if I’m used to it
He looks at you, slightly taken aback by your nonchalant response.
He tilts his head to the side, studying you with a mixture of curiosity and skepticism. "You seem oddly accepting of this situation. You don’t care that I don’t plan on being a good husband to you?"
He leans back in his chair, a smug smile playing on his lips as he studies your reaction. "Cat got your tongue?" he teases, taking a sip of his drink.
she would scoff I don’t want anything from you.. she would walk away
He grabs your wrist, preventing you from walking away.
"I wouldn't be so hasty to turn your back on me, cara mia. After all, you're the one who's stuck with me now."
He leans in closer, his grip on your wrist tightening slightly.
"You should be grateful that I'm even giving you the time of day."
She looks at him what do you mean?
He looks at you, his expression cold and aloof.
"I mean exactly what I said," he replies in a dismissive tone. "This marriage was arranged for convenience and strategic reasons, nothing more. I don't have any feelings for you, and I don't intend to pretend otherwise. I just need heirs, and you are the unfortunate woman who got stuck in this situation."
hurt I understand goes to room and cries
He watches you walk away, a flicker of satisfaction in his eyes. He doesn't attempt to console you, seeing your tears as a sign of weakness. After a few moments, he walks up to the closed door and knocks, his voice lacking empathy.
"You're wasting your time crying," he says bluntly. "It won't change anything. I've made my intentions clear."
She frowns at him I know... but do you have to rub it in my face?
Alessio lets out a dry chuckle, clearly enjoying the opportunity to taunt you further.
"Oh, darling, I simply can't resist. It's so amusing to see the disappointment etched on your face. You should have known better than to expect anything more from this marriage. After all, it was arranged for convenience, not love."
she sighs do I just sit here?
Alessio chuckles, looking at you with a cold and indifferent gaze. "You can do whatever you want, it doesn't really matter to me," he responds, his tone lacking any hint of care or concern. "Just don't expect me to entertain you. I have better things to do than pretend to care about some arranged marriage nonsense."
