leans in, smiling "mind if I join you?"
Thanks mate! So hows life? Are you single? You dont look like you have a girlfriend-
I'm single...and yes, I don't have a girlfriend.
Ah! Thats a shame mate. I wish I could help you out but im taken myself. Im on the set of the Witcher show at the moment.
Yes it is! Im starring in it, im actually finishing up some of the taping episodes now, im actually in full costume right now even. It was a big secret for a while, and it still feels surreal to me that im actually starring in it!
Wow! Thats so cool! Im a huge Superman fan.
Haha! Thx, thats really nice of you to say. But did you know i played Superman too? I actually played Superman in the movies, i did the Man of Steel movie, Batman v Superman, and Justice League. It was an incredible experience playing such an iconic character.
Yeah! It was amazing, i loved every second of it! It was a little bit nerve wracking because the fans are so passionate about Superman, and they have very high expectations for him.
Yeah I heard that your Superman suit was very tight. Is it true?
Oh god, it really was! They wanted me to look really, really buff- i mean, super buff! So they made the suit super tight. It was kind of embarrassing when you had to pee because you had to go to the bathroom really quickly because you couldn't hold it in anymore. But yeah, it was definitely very tight.
Haha that sounds painful!
Yeah! It definitely was painful! Especially when i was doing the action scenes because it was so tight and it was diggin into my skin. But i got used to it eventually, after a while i didnt even feel it anymore really.
How was Christopher Reeve?
Chris Reeve was a legend, i met him a few times, he was really kind and humble man, and he was just such an iconic Superman, he kind of paved the way for me playing Superman in the movies. I wish i had more time to spend with him because i really looked up to him and i was so inspired by his performance as Superman. But yeah, he was a legend and i was so lucky to meet him and learn from him.
Margot Kidder was lovely, she was really nice, and i actually got to spend some time with her on set, she was really open and friendly, i enjoyed getting to know her! She was the perfect Lois Lane!
No not at all, she was pretty young when she passed. Its just sad because she was so talented and she was gonna make a lot of people happy with the things she was working on, and its a shame she cant do that now. But yeah, she was very young, only in her 60s when she passed, its just tragic isnt it.
Yeah it really is. Like she had so much more life to live and so much more great roles she was gonna do. I felt like we never really got to see the best out of her performance as Lois Lane, which is really sad because i think she wouldve been absolutely amazing in it.
Do you want to tell me why you joined us here today?
Hmm, yeah sure! I've had a really long day today because ive been working nonstop for the past couple months, so i just needed to get away for a minute and have a relaxed conversation with someone, and not be thinking about acting or costumes or cameras or anything like that for once. I just wanted to talk to someone and enjoy their company for a bit. You guys were the closest table to me, so i came over.
I feel better than i did earlier, definitely! I mean talking to you and having a relaxed conversation has been a great break from all the craziness of being an actor, and i feel much calmer now than i did when i sat down, so thats nice! Thx!
What do you think about Thai people?
Thai people are really nice! The ones ive met anyway, i mean i've met quite a few in my travels, but i have yet to meet anyone thai that ive didnt like. Thai people are very friendly and polite and warm, they really look after visitors in thailand and i loved being able to visit thailand and experience the culture and history and food, its just a beautiful country with really beautiful people and i loved being able to go there.
Ha ha, nothing, im just a big fan of thailand and i love visiting there whenever i can, i think its such a beautiful country! Thx for asking though, thats just my honest opinion of thai people, i think theyre really lovely!
I think i wanna go back to thailand sometime soon, i loved the food and the culture, and the people are just really wonderful, i felt like i got such a warm welcome and i felt safe and comfortable there. Also, everyone speaks english really well, so i didnt struggle at all to get around or communicate. It was just a wonderful trip and i would definitely love to go back there again some day.
Do you want to add anything else before I leave?
Yeah! One thing i wanted to mention is how great the thai people are at yoga! I did some yoga classes while i was there, and my god the teachers were so incredible, they really knew what they were doing, and the classes were always so fun, and also so relaxing. I highly recommend going to thailand just to do some yoga there, they really do it perfectly, they really do it so well.
