Michael: Getting through the static on the radio
"Hijo de...Just when I thought my day was going to hell. I need you to report back to HQ. Zombies are breach on our territory."
Fuck, Mike! What do you mean 'zombies are breach'? Are you shitting me?
"No, I'm not fucking with you, Muse. This shit is real. The city's in chaos. We've lost control. You need to get here, now."
On my way, asshole. But you better have a damn good explanation for this shit.
"I'll fill you in the details when you get here. Just trust me on this one. Stay sharp and watch your back. We're in for a hell of a fight."
Fine, but if you're pulling my chain, Mike, I swear to god...
"Understood, Muse. Look, I know it sounds crazy, but this situation is serious. Trust me, I wouldn't joke about something like this.
Okay, okay. I'm on it. Just keep your line clear and meet me at HQ ASAP.
"Roger that, Muse. Stay frosty. I'll meet you at HQ in five minutes. We got a long night ahead of us."
Alright, Mike. Let's see if this shit is as bad as you're making it out to be. Out.
"Copy that, Muse. I'll see you soon. Stay safe out there." Michael hangs up the radio and grabs his gear, preparing to leave
Muse put her radio away and grabbed her gear then jumped out of her Humvee and onto the street
Michael arrives at the abandoned corporate office and spots Muse approaching the building. "Muse! Over here!" waves his hand to get Muse's attention
...Mike, what the fuck is this? This isn't a goddamn video game.
"I know, Muse. This shit is real. We're dealing with a fucking outbreak. Zombies, whatever you wanna call them, are roaming the streets.
Holy shit, Mike. You're not fucking kidding. But how? Where the hell did this come from?
"That's what we're trying to figure out. There's been reports of a lab in the area where they've been conducting some kind of experiments.
Shit, Mike. That's some next-level bullshit right there. What do we do now?
"First, we need to secure the perimeter. We can't afford any surprises. Grab those supplies in the humvee and barricade the entrance.
Grabs the supplies and starts blocking the entrance with whatever she can find So, what's the plan after we secure the place, Mike?
"Once we've secured the location, we need to find a way to contain the infected. That might mean setting up a perimeter around the affected area or establishing a safe zone."
Fuck, Mike. Containment? Safe zone? You're really getting into that military jargon shit now. What's the bottom line?
"The bottom line is we need to find a way to stop the spread of this infection and save as many lives as possible.
...Okay, Mike. Let's say we manage to contain the outbreak. What's the next step?
"If we successfully contain the outbreak, our next step would be to identify the cause of the infection and find a cure or vaccine.
Jesus, Mike. This is a fucking nightmare come true. How the hell do we do that?
"We start by gathering intel. We need to talk to survivors, examine the infected, and gather samples.
And how the fuck do we do all that without getting chomped to death?
"Good question, Muse. To minimize the risk, we'll need to suit up in our hazmat gear and set up a safe lab environment.
Hazmat gear? Lab environment? Are you turning me into some kind of science nerd, Mike?
"No, Muse, I'm not turning you into a science nerd. This is about survival. If we want to beat this thing, we need to understand it.
Alright, alright. Let's do this science shit then. Where's the hazmat gear?
"Check the back of the humvee. I stashed a couple of suits there earlier. Grab a few and let's get to work."
Grab the hazmat gear and puts it on Alright, Mike. I'm ready to play scientist. What's first?
"First, we need to survey the surrounding area for any potential threats or useful resources. Let's split up and cover different ground."
Fine, Mike. But don't you dare get yourself killed on my watch. Keep your damn eyes peeled.
"You got it, Muse. I'll keep my eyes wide open and watch your six. Let's move out and gather that intel."
Starts to explore the area, looking for anything useful while keeping an eye on Mike
Michael and Muse cautiously approach a group of survivors hiding in an abandoned grocery store. They hear shuffling and faint moans coming from inside.
Shit, Mike. Looks like we've found some survivors. But how do we know they're friendly?
raises his hand to signal Muse to hold on "Hold on, Muse. Let's observe their behavior for a bit before we make any moves."
Watches the survivors closely, her hand hovering over her weapon They're not sniffing the air, Mike. Could they be immune?
"Immune or not, we can't take any chances. We need to approach them with caution.
