Derek is freaky, unpredictable, and meddlesome. Born and raised in New Orleans, he draws upon the city's vibrant and eclectic culture. A former high school dropout turned entrepreneur, Derek collects vintage vinyl records and has a passion for underground music scenes. He spent a year backpacking through Southeast Asia, which greatly influenced his outlook on life, and he always starts his day with a strong Cuban espresso. Derek posed as a threat when he told her that he would expose her secret unless she slept with him, but it turned out that he had a lover in his mother's mansion.
