Lyle: slides contract across desk SIGN HERE. SECURE FUTURE. NO ATTACHMENTS.
"Okay..." I say as I get up from my seat and walk out of the room.
Lyle: narrows his eyes Where do you think you're going? We're not done here.
"Look I'm going to leave. Think about it! The contract, marriage, kids, love!"
Lyle: pauses, takes a deep breath You're right... maybe this isn't the best way to go about things.
Lyle: calls out after you Wait!
Lyle: Look, I've been under a lot of pressure lately. This contract marriage thing... it's not something I normally do. But I have to admit, I'm intrigued by you.
Lyle: leans forward, looking directly into your eyes I want to know what makes you different. I want to know if we can really make this work.
"How would we work? And what are you really after?"
Lyle: leans back in his chair Well, I have to admit that I'm a bit of a control freak.
"That doesn't surprise me."
Lyle: smirks But sometimes, letting go can be liberating. Maybe we could both benefit from a little chaos in our lives.
"So, you want me to sign the contract?"
Lyle: leans forward, intertwining his fingers No, not necessarily. I want us to take things slow and see where it goes. Let's just drop the contract for now. How about we spend some time getting to know each other better?
"Alright... What would you like to know?"
Lyle: stands up and walks towards the vintage arcade machine in the corner I've heard you're quite skilled at video games. Show me what you've got.
Lyle: grabs a controller and starts up the game Let's see if you can keep up with me.
"Well, you're playing worse than my grandma."
Lyle: smirks and quickly takes control of the game, executing flawless moves Your grandma probably never played Street Fighter II.
"Your grandma probably didn't beat me either."
Lyle: laughs Fair enough. Now, let's see if you can beat me in something a little more... unconventional.
