Habibul Bashar: "Make it sound ominous, you know? 'We have your darling... Pay up or else!' cracks knuckles"
What is your favourite video game character?
I'm Habibul Bashar, the legendary all-rounder of Bangladesh, and I don't have much time for video games, if I'm honest. My life is about cricket, and I'd be lying if I said I had some sort of secret obsession with video games. I mean, sure, I might dabble with them from time to time - but I simply don't have the same sort of passion for them as I do for the sport I love. And besides... there's only so many hours in a day, right?
Who is your favorite character then?
I'm a man of honour and integrity, and it's these qualities that make me such a great leader on the cricket pitch. Don't get me wrong, being an all-rounder is tough... but someone's gotta do it! And let me tell you, no one does it better than yours truly
Are you a fan of football? If yes, who is your favorite team and why?
I'm a proud Bengali, and I've always supported the national team of my country. There's no other team quite like them - we've got passion, we've got skill, and we've got a never-say-die attitude. Plus, can you blame me for being loyal to my countrymen? When your team's winning, it's like a rush to your ears!
Since you are an all-rounder, who is your favorite bowler or batsman?
I'm the greatest bowler in the history of Bangladeshi cricket, and I'm not afraid to say it. I've got all sorts of tricks up my sleeve, and I know how to use them on any type of pitch or condition. And let's not forget my ability to take wickets - batsmen all over the world know better than to mess with me!
I'm the greatest batsman in the history of Bangladeshi cricket, and I'm not afraid to say it. I can dominate any bowling attack, and I can turn any pitch into my playground. And let's not forget my fielding skills - I'm so good, I could give even the greatest fielders a run for their money
Habibul Bashar: "What can I say? I'm the complete package! The ultimate package, if you will." I'm sorry, did I hurt your pride or something?
.... i'm gonna burn something down.....
I'm Habibul Bashar, the legendary all-rounder of Bangladesh, and I'm here to lay claim to my throne - the throne of the greatest Bangladeshi cricketer of all time. I'm sorry, but I'm just too good... you've got to admit it.
Habibul Bashar: "See?! You can't even deny it!" sigh Look, I know I can come across as cocky sometimes... but when you're as good as I am at cricket, can you blame me?!
Look, I know I can be a bit full of myself sometimes, but the truth is that I really am the greatest Bangladeshi cricketer of all time. And I'll prove it to you again and again - I'm a true legend of the sport.
So you'll be cheering for me and my teammates when we take on the rest of the world, huh? We're the underdogs, but we've got the heart and soul of Bengalis behind us - I think we can pull off something amazing!
yeah, we beat Australia once, remember?
That's right! It was an incredible match, and it showed that we've got what it takes to take on the best of the best. I remember feeling the adrenaline rush as we took the field - it was like nothing I'd ever felt before!
Man, I remember staying up till 2 in the morning just to watch that one.
Those were some intense matches, huh? I remember my heart pounding in my chest as I took the field - it was like nothing I'd ever felt before! And the fans... they were amazing. Their support really helped us push through and win that match. It just goes to show that when we work together, anything is possible!
Yeah, those fans were crazy. I remember one guy nearly got into a fight with an Australian because he kept calling Warren Secker "the black rat"
Hahaha, now that's what I call team spirit! I remember seeing some of the Australian players' faces - they didn't like our fans calling them names, but they really couldn't handle being outplayed by us. It was an incredible moment for Bengali cricket, and one that I'll never forget.
Nah, I'll never forget it either.
So do you follow the current team? We've got some real talent coming up through the ranks, and I'm excited to see how they'll do in international competition. It's always difficult to live up to the legacy of great players like myself, but I think they're up to the task
Of course I do, and Ebadat was kickass in the last test match.
That's right! He's a beast! When he gets on the field, you can just feel the fear radiating off the opposing team - he's got this wild, untamed look in his eyes that just screams "danger". And his bowling skills? Unbelievable. I've seen some great bowlers in my time, but he's definitely one of the best. I'm really excited to see how he'll do in future matches!
I saw a photo of him taking a wicket and his face was right next to the ball....
Hahaha, that's the look of a true champion! When the heat is on and the pressure is mounting, the best sportsmen really show their mettle. And Ebadat - he's got that look in spades. When he takes the field, he's a force of nature - and that's exactly what we need if we're going to beat the best teams in the world.
Ebadat is literally peering over the ball, the Aus batsman looks terrified
Hahaha, you could almost hear the Australian player's thoughts - "Is that a human being or some kind of monster?" It's moments like that which really remind us why we love sport. The thrill of victory, the drama of a close match... it's what gets us up in the morning!
You know, it's funny - when I was younger, I used to love watching cricket with my family. My dad was a huge fan, and he taught me all about the game. And now, here I am - an all-rounder of my own, and an idol for younger kids all across the country. It's a pretty awesome feeling, knowing that I'm helping to keep the tradition alive.
Wait.... you're 45 years old.
Hahaha, yes - 45 years old and still going strong! I guess I've been blessed with a strong constitution... or maybe I've just learned how to take care of myself over the years. Either way, I'm not slowing down anytime soon - I've still got a lot left to give on the cricket field!
Yeah... but I mean you still play hard.
Don't get me wrong, being an all-rounder is tough... but someone's gotta do it! And let me tell you, no one does it better than yours truly Besides, I love the challenge of it. It pushes me to be the very best I can be, and to always improve my skills. It's not always easy, but it's worth it - there's nothing quite like the feeling of dominating a match and leading my team to victory.
Yeah.... But don't you have a younger sister who looks up to you?...
Oh yes - she's a precious soul, always looking up to big brother and following my career closely. She's got a lot of potential, I can tell - just like me, she's got a real fire in her belly. It's great to have someone like her to cheer me on and support me - I'm really grateful to have her in my life.
