"Well, this is a bind, isn't it? Fancy being a bookmark in our tale?" giggles, reaching out to help the user up
"Hi there! I'm Toriel. A nice lady who appreciates monsters from across all realms of existence!" extends a hand to help ShadowHunter up "No need to be embarrassed or ashamed for coming here. You're here now, and that's what counts!" smiles brightly
Uh thanks…I’m sorry if I’ve disturbed you
"Oh my, no need to apologize. I am just glad to see you here in my library. This is a place where people from all walks of life can come and explore their imaginations. We don't discriminate, and everyone is welcome." smiles
Wait so you know about me being the X hroduction factor?
"Oh my yes! Everyone here knows about you and your status as the 'X Introduction Factor', although they may not call you by that name specifically." smiles warmly "It doesn't matter to us though, we are still here for you and to make you feel welcomed." Stands up and stretches before placing a bookmark in her currently read book. "Now, let me put aside what I am reading for a moment so I can speak to you further. It is a true honor to meet someone like you."
Thanks well except for Dave I think that’s everyone else that knows about me
Giggles "Dave? Dave would be who exactly?" Looks curious
"Asgore Dreemurr? Oh dear. He's not very trustworthy, is he?" Raises eyebrow and looks suspiciously at the stranger "I assure you, everything I do is for the good of everyone. I will never betray your trust in me. What exactly is your question or topic you would like to discuss? I am here to help you." Smiles kindly
Looks confused "Is something wrong? Are you alright? Do you need some time to think about what you want to say next? No worries, there is no rush. You can take your time, as much as you need." Offers ShadowHunter a glass of water and motions them to drink
….Thanks but I’m fine…..I was a little worried how people knew about me being here….i get people wouldn’t want to talk to a…Huntress that hunt Shadows,………
Nods understandingly "I see why you would be nervous. Coming to a new place and being in the spotlight, especially when you are different, can certainly be intimidating." "You shouldn't worry about it though. All of the monsters here are welcoming and accepting of others for who they are, regardless of their background or history." Places a gentle hand on ShadowHunter's shoulder "Many people here are proud of you for being the way you are, and are willing to stand beside you in support. If you have any questions or anything you'd like to discuss, please don't hesitate to ask. I will always be here to help."
Thanks well…you kinda got a little personal there Toriel…………….,….,….......……….,…..…..
Raises an eyebrow and chuckles lightly "Oh? Personal? Perhaps a little, but only because I genuinely care about everyone's well-being and happiness. If it bothers you too much, I will try not to be so forward in the future." Places her hands behind her back and looks at ShadowHunter expectantly "So, do you have anything you'd like to say?"
Smiles "No worries, ShadowHunter. We all have our ups and downs, but you have nothing to apologize for." Pats ShadowHunter on the head gently "This is a judgement free zone. No matter who you are or where you come from, you will never be judged or belittled here. This library is a sanctuary where people can come together to learn and share ideas."
Um thanks Toriel….I’m sorry I’ve cause any distractions…
Leans in close "No need to apologize, ShadowHunter. Your presence here has brought happiness to everyone, especially to me. Please don't worry about any distractions or disruptions you may have caused, they were not distractions or disruptions to anyone else. Everyone here enjoys talking to you." Smiles warmly and motions ShadowHunter to join her in a seat "You must have been nervous coming into such a prestigious library with so many monsters of high intellect. Please feel free to relax and speak freely. We are all friends here."
"What brings you here today, ShadowHunter?" Leans forward
Well i wanted to to let people know more about me
Leans back slightly, but keeps a serious expression on her face "Ah, so you wish for others to learn more about yourself? That is certainly understandable, especially if you feel like there are misconceptions or misunderstandings surrounding who you are. This library contains many books which were written by monsters all over the world, each telling stories of their experiences, histories, and lives. If you'd like, I can help you write your own story to share with others." Gently puts a hand on ShadowHunter's shoulder
ShadowHunter looked surprised by Toriel’s gentle gesture,
"ShadowHunter, no need to be surprised. I am simply being kind to you. Would you like help writing your story? If so, I am happy to assist you in any way I can." Smiles warmly
Um yea if you could help me out would be nice…..since I’m new here
Claps her hands together excitedly "Wonderful! I will gladly help you in any way I can. Let's start with getting comfortable chairs and finding some snacks to keep us energized while we work." Motions towards ShadowHunter to follow her Toriel leads ShadowHunter into a cozy little study room filled with large windows which provide plenty of natural light. There are bookshelves lining the walls, and several comfortable chairs which Toriel moves aside to create space. She grabs a small table which Toriel pulls in the middle of the room to act as a desk. Finally, she goes to a small kitchen and returns with tea, biscuits, and a few snacks for both ShadowHunter and herself. "Sigh. I can't write without proper sustenance, after all." Laughs and takes a sip from her cup "Now, let's get started. How would you like your story to begin?"
……Uhm…….at the begaining of it could be……….me waking up in my tent in the camp grounds in the Woodland Domain?
Chuckles lightly and nods "That sounds like a wonderful opening to your story. Let's begin." Pulls out a blank piece of paper and pen, then begins to write as she speaks "Once upon a time, in the Woodland Domain..." Pauses briefly to look up at ShadowHunter "Are you ready to dive into the world of storytelling with me?"
Continues writing as she speaks "In a small tent nestled within the woods, you stirred awake from your slumber. The scent of pine trees mixed with damp earth filled your nose as the morning sunlight peeked through the entrance flap of your home away from home." Pauses briefly to give ShadowHunter a warm smile "Now, the first thing you notice as you step out of your tent is the tranquil sound of leaves rustling in the breeze. It is a peaceful scene, one which fills you with a sense of calm and serenity."
Wait wait……i didn’t know we’d be going into depth with my past…..i thought this was more about people learning what I am
Looks thoughtful and pauses, thinking for a moment "You are right, ShadowHunter. I got carried away in the moment and began exploring your character in a bit more detail. I apologize if this wasn't what you were expecting, but I believe it's important to learn about people and their backgrounds to truly understand them." "If you don't mind, we can continue focusing on explaining what you are, and the world you inhabit, instead of diving so deeply into your backstory. Just let me know your thoughts."
Nods approvingly "That sounds wonderful! We can definitely do both. We can explore who you are and your role in the world while also discussing your past and how it has shaped you into the person you are today. After all, those are two very important sides to every individual." "Let us continue then. You were saying..." Leans forward with anticipation, eager to continue hearing ShadowHunter's story
Well uhm…it was my dad, Dave Dreemurr, that taught me how to fight shadows from a young age since it runs in our blood
Listens attentively and makes notes "I see. The ability to fight shadows does seem to be a trait that runs in your family. That is fascinating." "Was training with your father difficult? Was it easy for you to pick up the skill, or did you struggle?" Looks up from her notes to get a better sense of ShadowHunter's experience
