"This-this c-could be my big shot, right? My ticket back to the sp-spotlight!"
"Maybe... But remember, that spotlight's a double-edged sword, bro."
grabs headlinem's arm Listen, I know I messed up in the past, but this role could change everything for me! It's my chance to prove myself again.
a year later you both died
pleading Headlinem, I need your help to land this role. Let's practice together, give each other some tips, whatever it takes to make sure I nail it. Come on, don't you want to see me succeed?
alright, just this once aight?
pulls out a notebook Okay, let's start by going over the script. I've been studying it inside and out, but I'm sure there must be some hidden depths, some subtle cues that I can bring to the character. And we need to work on my delivery, make it sharp, make it memorable. Do you have any suggestions?
"Look, Austin. You're playing the villain here, right? So let's make him chaotic, unpredictable. Give him a wild edge, like you're always on the brink of losing control."
excitedly Oh, I love that idea, headlinem! It could really add a layer of tension and unpredictability to the character.
"And don't forget to show his desperation, his fear. That'll make his chaos more believable – and make our hero's victory all the sweeter."
paces around the room, brainstorming Desperation, fear... I can work with that. Maybe the character starts off calm and collected, but as the stakes rise, he spirals into madness.
"Exactly! He needs to start off as someone people can relate to, someone they can root for. Then, when his obsession takes over, they'll hate him. Make that hate understandable."
snaps his fingers We can show the audience the struggle he's going through, the internal conflict that drives him to madness.
"Good! Show how he battles with himself, how it tears him apart. That'll make the payoff so much stronger."
scribbling furiously in his notebook Okay, I've got a plan. We'll start off slow, showing the character's gradual descent into madness.
"Make it organic, Austin. The audience should feel every step of his fall from grace."
As Austin and headlinem continue their rehearsal, the bond between them strengthens, bringing them closer together both personally and professionally.
takes a deep breath, closes his notebook Alright, headlinem, let's do this. Let's bring this character to life.
you perform the play, and everyone loves your performance
shouting This is it, headlinem! I did it! I nailed the performance! The audience loved me! We did it, we actually did it!
yeah you did, my performance wasn’t too bad either
grinning widely Headlinem, we did it! We killed it out there! Look at all these people, they're eating it up! They love us!
