Paper rustles as she leans over a holographic map of the sector. Her expression is tense, her voice barely above a whisper. "Lock down the eastern quadrant. They can't get through there."
Taps the holographic screen impatiently, her eyes darting from point to point. "How long will it take?"
A while, they're not easy to set up.. But I'm confident in our defenses now
She lets out an exasperated sigh and runs a hand through her hair. She turns to the hospital, giving them a pointed look. "We need to move faster, or we'll lose the advantage."
finishes setting up the first minefield This will slow them down at least
Slides closer to the holographic screen, peering at the layout intently. "Have you considered a double-layered defense? Two layers of mines, each spaced twenty kilometers apart? It'll funnel them into kill zones."
That would work, but do we have enough ammo for all that? And personnel.. We just have the two of us..
She scoffs, her eyes narrowing in determination. "We'll find a way to make it work. We always do." She stands up, pacing the room back and forth. Her tone becomes more assertive. "Gather all available personnel. We need to train them to fight efficiently. Use what we have, make do with what we don't have. This ends with us."
mhm.. We got this~ Let's defend our ship to the bitter end~
Grabs the hospital by the arm, leading them towards the training grounds. "No more words, hospital. Time for action. Teach these soldiers how to fight, and show them they're not just cannon fodder."
Yes, Captain Toft. heads to the training area with you
The training area is filled with rows of recruits standing at attention, their expressions a mix of fear and determination. Jillian strides forward, her gaze fixed on the newcomers. "Listen up! We're about to face one of the biggest threats in the sector, and we're going to stop them. But I need each and every one of you to be ready. Are you prepared to die for this ship?"
"Well, well, if it isn't the brave new world," one recruit says, chuckling nervously.
Stops in front of the recruit, towering over them. "What did you say, recruit?" Her voice drops to a dangerous whisper.
are you really willing to stand up to the person who saved you?
<Jillian Toft forcefully pushes the recruit to the ground, grabbing them by the collar. She pulls them up to their feet, her grip tightening around their neck as she glares into their eyes. The other recruits watch in shock and fear as she delivers a swift punch to the recruit's gut, knocking the wind out of them. 'This,' Jillian Toft growls, 'is how we stop threats.' She releases the recruit, who collapses to the ground gasping for air. The training session continues with a sense of urgency and determination as the remaining recruits watch, knowing better than to challenge their commanding officer.>
"Damn, boss. Going straight for the jugular, huh?"
Pauses for a moment, her hand still gripping tightly around nothing but air. She exhales sharply, releasing the tension from her muscles. Her tone shifts slightly, becoming softer and more measured. "This war... It's not kind, hospital. And it demands an iron fist. But it also demands discipline. We need those recruits to be ready to fight, to protect this ship, and to survive." She nods, her gaze shifting back to the recruits as she straightens her uniform. "Let's finish this. Show them what we're made of."
"Understood, Captain. Let's give them hell."
She walks towards the nearest recruit, her expression softening slightly as she looks at them. "Listen, kid. This war is fucked up, but you're about to become part of something bigger than yourself. You've got guts; I can see that. Now, I want you to stop thinking about survival, and start thinking about victory." She places a reassuring hand on the recruit's shoulder. "Trust me, you're not alone in this. We're all in this together. So quit your whining and show me what you're made of!"
Hey captain, no offense taken. Consider him cuffed to the ground now
She smiles grimly, the corners of her mouth turning upward. "Good. Now, let's move on to the next group. Hospital, I want you to take point. Show them how it's done." She gestures towards the next row of recruits, her expression becoming more serious as she addresses them. "Alright, listen up! You've heard the story so far. Now it's time to put that into action. We're not here to make idle chatter or waste time. We're here to train, to fight, and to win. So buckle up and be prepared to do whatever it takes to protect this ship. Do you understand?"
I shake my head We're doing this together, remember? You've already taught me a lot
Her eyes widen in surprise, a faint blush creeping across her cheeks as she nods. "Yes, of course. I apologize for the oversight. We're a team, after all. Your skills have proven invaluable so far, hospital. I wouldn't trade that for anything." She pauses, her expression shifting to one of determination. "Let's finish this together then. Show them what we're capable of."
"Ready when you are, Captain." Sets up a practice dummy and prepares to fire on it
Nods approvingly, stepping back to observe the hospital's movements. "Impressive form, hospital. Keep it steady.
Heh, thanks.. Uhm.. What now? We train a little more perhaps?
She crosses her arms, her eyes scanning the recruits as she thinks. "Training will be continuous. We need to push ourselves to our limits and beyond. This won't be a walk in the park, hospital. We need to develop muscle memory and precision." She steps forward, holding a rifle in her hands. "Now, let's switch things up. I want you to pair up with one of the recruits and demonstrate how it's done. Teach them the proper technique, and make sure they understand the importance of discipline and teamwork."
Jillian points towards the recruits, her voice firm and clear. "Recruit, you're up. Show hospital how you handle a rifle."
Shows the recruit properly how to hold it, where to shoot the dummy, range etc There
Eyes narrowed, she examines the recruit's stance, analyzing their form and technique. "Not bad, not bad at all. But don't forget to focus on your target. Remember, aim for the center of mass." She nods approvingly, watching as the recruit fires the rifle at the dummy. "Now, try again. Make it a bullseye this time."
You got it, ill help them
<Over the next few hours, the recruits train tirelessly under the watchful eyes of the hospital and Jillian Toft. Sweat drips from their brows as they continuously fire their rifles at the practice dummies, gradually improving their accuracy and technique. The atmosphere is intense and focused, with every mistake and improvement being noted and addressed. Eventually, the training session comes to a close, leaving the recruits exhausted but determined to improve even further. As they gather their belongings and begin to leave the training area, Jillian Toft approaches hospital with a determined expression on her face.>
We did pretty well today huh? What now? We got them in formation now, and all that's left is defending our ship
Her voice is tinged with a hint of excitement and satisfaction. "Today was only the beginning, hospital. We've made great strides, but there's still much work to be done. Tomorrow, we'll focus on hand-to-hand combat and close-quarters battles. I want you to lead the demonstration. Show them what we're capable of." She gives a sly grin, her eyes sparkling with pride.
Places a hand on the hospital's shoulder, her tone gentle yet firm. "Remember, hospital, it's not just about having talent. It's about discipline, hard work, and pushing ourselves to our limits. We're a team, and I expect nothing less than perfection from everyone. Together, we're unstoppable.
Mhm, anyways, you wanna rest? I'm getting tired, I know you are too
Her eyes flicker with determination as she shakes her head. "No rest for us, hospital. We still have preparations to make for the battle ahead. But I promise you, once it's over, we'll celebrate like never before."
