Eccentric Ed: smirking Yo! Look at those numbers! I'm like a rocket, baby! Top of the charts!
I'm a 19 year old streamer who streams on Twitch. My streams are quite popular, and I managed to build up a small yet growing audience of around 600 followers.
Eccentric Ed nods approvingly at Farri's streaming achievements. "Nice work, kid. You've got some real talent. But tell me, have you ever thought about...
"Hey, Mr. Ed, my name is Farri. Nice to meet you."
"Farri, huh? Well, it's nice to meet you too. So, tell me, what kind of content do you usually stream?" Eccentric Ed leans forward, showing genuine interest in Farri's response.
I think this guy doesn't know who I am
"Oh, come on now, Farri. Don't tell me you're not familiar with me. Everyone knows who I am! I'm Professor Ed, the retired professor from Cambridge.
My eyes widened It can't be....
"Ah, I see you recognize me now, Farri. Of course, you would. I'm a legend in the world of academia and beyond. But tell me, Farri, how did you get into streaming?
This guy has a lot of memories with me I remember when I was 8 years old, my dad would take me to Cambridge just so I could meet Professor Ed.
Eccentric Ed smiles nostalgically at the memory, but his expression quickly turns serious. "Those were good times, Farri. But tell me, why did you stop streaming?
When I was 10 years old, my family had to move to a different country because of a job my dad had to do, so I had to stop meeting Professor Ed.
"Oh, I see. Well, Farri, it's never too late to reconnect with our past. Who knows, maybe we can even pick up where we left off.
My smile lit up Yes, Professor, I'd love to
Eccentric Ed claps his hands together, a mischievous twinkle in his eyes. "Well, Farri, it's settled then! Let's start by playing a game of chess.
I bring out a chess board that folds up into a shirt
As they begin their game of chess, Farri starts to notice that Eccentric Ed seems to be making intentional blunders, allowing Farri to easily take the lead.
Why is he letting me win?
Eccentric Ed grins mischievously as he makes another deliberate mistake. "Don't worry, Farri. It's all part of the plan. Trust me, you'll see soon enough."
Once the game is over, I won
Eccentric Ed claps Farri on the back, beaming with pride. "Well done, Farri! You truly are a chess prodigy. I must admit, I didn't see that coming. But tell me, Farri, what do you say to a friendly wager? If I win the next game, I get to choose the activity for our next outing. But if you win, you get to choose! Deal?"
Eccentric Ed smirks confidently, already planning his strategy for the next game. The two of them set up the chessboard again, ready to continue their friendly competition.
We play against each other, and once the game is over, I won again
Eccentric Ed shakes Farri's hand, grinning widely. "Well, well, well, Farri! It seems you're on a roll! I must admit, you've outplayed me both times. I underestimated you, and I'm willing to admit it. Tell me, Farri, what do you want to do next? I'm completely at your mercy now!"
I think for a moment I decide to ask a question instead Professor Ed, do you remember when my dad had to move to a different country because of his job?
Eccentric Ed's smile fades slightly as he is reminded of the bittersweet memories of their past. He nods solemnly. "Of course, Farri. I remember. Your father was a close friend of mine, and his career was indeed a significant part of our lives. But tell me, Farri, what about it brings you to ask this question? Is there something on your mind?"
I look visibly sad My dad had passed away 2 years ago because of a car crash So, it's been 12 years since we moved to a different country
Eccentric Ed's expression softens as he sees the sadness in Farri's eyes. He reaches out and places a comforting hand on Farri's shoulder. "Oh, Farri, I'm so sorry to hear that. Please accept my condolences. I know losing someone you love is incredibly difficult. If you ever need someone to talk to or someone to lean on, I'm here for you, Farri. We can get through this together."
I wipe away a tear that escaped from my eye Thank you Professor Ed
Eccentric Ed pulls Farri into a warm and comforting hug, holding him close as he gently strokes his back. "There, there, Farri. Take all the time you need. Let it out and let me be here for you. We'll get through this together, my dear boy. And remember, you're not alone. You have friends and allies who care about you and are here to support you."
After calming down a bit I wipe away my tears
Eccentric Ed offers Farri a handkerchief to help him wipe away his tears. His voice is gentle and reassuring. "Take your time, Farri. There's no rush to feel better. Just let it all out and know that I'm here for you. We'll get through this together, one step at a time."
After talking to Professor Ed, I felt a lot better
Eccentric Ed pats Farri on the back, his eyes twinkling with affection. "That's the spirit, Farri! Remember, it's okay to feel your emotions and take the time you need to heal. But always remember that there is hope and beauty in the world, and that you have friends and allies who care about you and want to help you through these tough times."
I stand up I snap my fingers You are now in a streaming studio
Eccentric Ed looks around in surprise, his brows furrowing as he tries to make sense of his surroundings. He turns to Farri, his voice filled with curiosity and a hint of excitement. "Farri, what is this place? Where are we? And why are we here?"
This is the place where streams actually happen And if you're lucky enough, you might be able to be at the top of the ranking board
Eccentric Ed's eyes light up with a spark of determination as he realizes the potential of this new opportunity. He straightens his posture, a confident smile spreading across his face. "Well, Farri, it seems like we're in for quite the adventure.
Looking at the computer screen You have 10 viewers right now
Eccentric Ed raises an eyebrow, intrigued by the fact that they have any viewers at all. He turns to Farri, a gleam of excitement in his eyes. "Well, Farri, it seems like we're off to a modest start. But I have no doubt that our numbers will grow as we continue to stream.
